A Fun Adventure Game That Punches Above Its Weight
The Cursed Heart is an adventure game where you would be stepping foot into a world of pirates, with danger lurking in all corners. The game is about a museum owner whose daughter is kidnapped by a pirate.
The pirate who abducts the museum owner’s daughter is the villain embroiled in a centuries-old, tragic love story and wants to use a girl’s life force to bring his mistress back to life. Though the pirate has a story to tell, the tale does not justify the kidnapping of the museum owner's daughter. The game starts with the modern museum, which you would quickly leave to chase the villain pirate. Since the golden piracy age, the locales have been pretty much abandoned and overgrown with shrubs and plants. The bones and skull-shaped rocks lend to this mysterious island’s dark atmosphere.
The game pretty much works like an animated novel, which plays out over several sharp and aesthetically pleasing pictures, with many cutscenes connecting the environments together. The cutscenes do a splendid job of taking the story forward and breaking up the monotony there could be to the puzzles and pictures. This means you would not have to bother walking around physically. The gameplay itself entails solving riddles, puzzles, and dabbling with clue-based adventuring. You would be provided a fairly decent sized white circular outline for pointing and clicking anything that interests you during progression.
